HOW TO BE A TRUE WITNESS FOR THE GOSPEL
OR, HOW NOT BE, "DRIVEN INTO DARKNESS", A DEMON RIDDEN CHRISTIAN!
I am often asked this question and somehow in the shuffle of redesigns,
new pages, moving links etc, this page was lost from our site. Now tis
found again! :-) First and foremost... As a Christian, we should have a "healthy" desire
to share The Gospel with others. So if you have this desire, AMEN. It's
more proof that you have been "born from above" as this desire comes
from Heaven, from God. If we feel DRIVEN to spread The Gospel- something is wrong! GOD does not
drive us and push us like cattle in a Texas roundup. He gently leads us,
step by step. So if you feel DRIVEN- PUSHED to preach The Gospel to
everyone you see, 24 hours a day seven days a week- it is not God
driving his compulsion but your own mind or satan. GOD WANTS YOU TO ENJOY YOUR CHRISTIAN WALK- NOT BE DRIVEN INTO AN
OBSESSIVE- COMPULSIVE RELIGIOUS FRENZY! 1) We should have the desire to share The Gospel (GOOD NEWS) with
others. in fact, God places this desire in our hearts. If we are afraid
to share the Gospel, something is wrong in our faith (fear is blocking
the Work of God). 2) We should pray that GOD places people in our Life Path who are OPEN
to hear The Gospel. We should not share The Gospel with people who
don't want to hear it or are openly hostile to it. JESUS said, "Do not give what is holy to Dogs or cast your pearls before
swine". 3) We should never force The Gospel upon anyone. We should respect their
Free Will. Someone who doesn't seem to be open to The Gospel today- may
be open tomorrow. EXAMPLE: God may be working in a person's life to bring them to
Salvation. If we come along, shoving The Gospel down their throats--
stuffing Bible tracks into their every pocket and orafice, we will
interfere with God's Plan and even turn this people away from God.
SEEK THOSE WHO HAVE, "EARS TO EAR" , WHO ARE OPEN TO THE GOSPEL.
4) Peter wrote, "Always be ready to give an account of the Hope that is
in you". If we are living The Christian Life, if we are Walking in God's Spirit-
we will have a Peace and Hope in us that people will SEE and many will
want to know more about. This will open many doors to share The Gospel
with others. If we don't have this light within- then our words will be
empty and have little impact if any at all. Remember too. . . the best witness we have about The Gospel, is not
preaching Bible verses, but sharing what GOD Thru JESUS have done in our
own life. People can argue Theology until they are blue in the
face but no one can take away what JESUS has done in your
own life. Personal Experience always trumps theological debate.
What better witness could their ever be than the Blind Man who
