I believe the reason for The "Bush Doctrine" is that Earth will be threatened by a Comet (Comet Planet) sometime around 2012 AD. Pres. Bush stopped Saddam from developing Nuclear weapons, and I believe he will do the same with IRAN, SYRIA and possibly NORTH KOREA. If the earth is threatened by a massive Comet, we cannot have fanatical and hostile nations in possession of nuclear weapons to take advantage of the chaos and worse.
